The estimate updates immediately as values change.
Estimated frames
75
Bits per pixel
6 bit
Compression factor
0.45
Actual size depends on content, palette construction, dithering, frame differences, and the encoder.
size ≈ frames × width × height × (log₂(colors) / 8) × factor
Frames = duration × fps. Conversion uses 1 MB = 1,000,000 bytes.
Statuses use the current estimate. Platforms can change their rules, so recheck the linked official source before publishing.

Each target assumes one change at a time. For complex footage, combining two changes is usually safer.

Reduce colors to

Trim duration to

It is useful for comparing settings before export, but it cannot replace a real encode. Frame differences, local palettes, dithering, and the encoder all affect final size.
GIF LZW compression benefits from repeated pixel patterns. Static backgrounds compress better, while fast motion, noise, and dithering create more changing data.
Reduce dimensions first, then lower frame rate or duration. Fewer colors also help, but can be more visible in gradients and detailed scenes.
Modern video codecs predict across frames and use more efficient compression. GIF has a limited palette and an older compression model, so longer animation is usually better as MP4.
